Red robin dc1/5/2024 ![]() ![]() After a series of contradictory statements about this figure, executive editor Dan DiDio firmly stated in the July 2007 DC Nation column that the figure is Jason Todd Todd, a major player in Countdown, has gone under the aliases "Red Hood" and "Robin". Jason seems to have a romantic interest in Donna, and is shown to be visibly disgruntled when her old boyfriend, Kyle Rayner, joins their group as they take their tour to the 52 Earths which comprise the Multiverse.Ī teaser image released to promote Countdown showed a figure resembling Red Robin among assembled heroes in poses symbolic of their roles in the series. During the trip, Jason takes it upon himself to name the Monitor "Bob". The two are then attacked by the Forerunner, but before she can kill them, the apologetic Monitor stops her, and recruits Jason and Donna for a mission to the Palmerverse (a section of the Nanoverse discovered by Ray Palmer), in an attempt to find Palmer. He knows that both he and Donna Troy have come back from the dead, and wonders which of them is next on the Monitor's hit list. Jason tells her what happened the night of Duela's death, and about the dueling Monitors. Later, at Duela's funeral, Jason hides until all of the Teen Titans have left except Donna Troy. This second Monitor apologizes to Jason before they both disappear, leaving Jason alone with Duela's body. After a Monitor shoots and kills Duela, he attempts to kill Jason, but is stopped by a second Monitor. Jason keeps his new suit and identity for the rest of his tenure as a "Challenger of the Unknown", only to discard it on his return to New Earth and revert to his " Red Hood" street clothing.Īt the start of Countdown, Jason Todd resumes the persona of the Red Hood and rescues a woman from Duela Dent ( Two-Face's daughter). In Countdown to Final Crisis #14, Jason dons the outfit in the "Bat Bunker" (Earth-51's equivalent to the Batcave) as he and Earth-51 Batman join the fight raging on the Earth above the bunker. ![]() Drake was the third Robin before assuming the Red Robin persona. In 2009, a new ongoing series was introduced titled Red Robin starring Tim Drake (then under the name Tim Wayne) in the role. As she owes Red Robin a debt, Tim has forbade her from using lethal force, and she loads her guns with rubber bullets.Red Robin is a name that has been used by several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics.It is unknown how she will react when she sees Tim again as he saved her life numerous times and showed her care that she has not received in the League before. When the League is almost destroyed by the Council of Spiders, her life is saved one last time by Tim before he defeats the council and destroys the League's base. Despite this her life is saved by Tim numerous times though she was severely injured when her throat was slashed.Īfter she recovered she accompanied Tim in a bid to capture a member of the Spider Council and despite her new inability to talk she and Tim clashed over ideals again. She and Tim clash constantly because of her "devil may care" attitude and over-zealousness to kill. She is assigned with her teammates to assassinate Tim Drake, but they are defeated by him and then ordered to work with him. Her partnering was a result of her being more of a gun user than having long range or hand to hand combat prowess. She was partnered with two other assassins known as Owens and Z. None Prudence (also known as Prue) is an ally of Red Robin, after he saved her life, she became indebted to him and became his mole in the League of Assassins.Ī new recruit of the League of Assassins after its last run in with Batman. ![]()
